New Hire Spotlight: Kyleigh Asencio

Our haku team continues to grow! The newest member is Kyleigh, who joins us in the role of Customer Experience Representative. She grew up in a military family and moved around often as a child and learned the gift of being adaptable. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Public Relations and Advertising. She has a love for travel and is a huge foodie! Let’s get to know more about Kyleigh!

What is your role at haku?

As a Customer Experience Representative, I focus on helping organizers and partners achieve their desired outcomes using haku’s platform. I work closely with organizers to understand their needs and help them achieve their goals.

Can you describe how you got started in the tech industry?

haku is the beginning of my tech journey. I am very excited to join a dynamic environment that will allow me to grow professionally and be in an industry I am passionate about.

Where do you envision your career in 5-10 years?

I envision growing within the company and truly maximizing my potential at haku. I hope my hard work will reflect and create strong relationships with clients. I want to be an integral part of the endurance industry, and know hard work in the years to come will get me there!

How did growing up as a military child influence your upbringing?

Growing up as a military child was a unique experience. Frequently moving was challenging but it taught me to adapt to change and find common ground when forming friendships. The experience taught me the value of being flexible, open-minded, and resilient-all skills that have served me well in all areas of my life.

What is your idea of a perfect day?

The perfect day for me is the first day of vacation where you wake up, go to a new coffee shop, try local cuisine, and just walk around a brand-new environment. I love the feeling of truly having no idea what to expect and seeing the beauty and difference of a new environment.

What is a dream destination you haven’t been to?

I want to go to Europe, and although it is a broad answer I have never traveled out of the United States. I have the travel bug and my dream is to go on a full Europe tour and visit all the most touristy city spots like (London, Paris, and Amsterdam) but also go to the countryside, go on hikes in the mountains, visit castles and eat all the food along the way.

What is something you will splurge on regardless of circumstances?

For me, travel and food are something I always find myself splurging on. If there is an opportunity to visit somewhere new or vacation I tend to splurge a bit to make it happen! I also find myself following the Miami food scene which can have you splurging for the experience!

What are some of your hobbies?

As a dedicated lover of food and a true foodie at heart, I have always been passionate about discovering new flavors and exploring my skills in the kitchen. I like to share my love for food, whether hosting a dinner party or recommending a restaurant to friends and family. I also enjoy taking pictures and documenting my adventures!

What is a great piece of advice someone has given you or that you would share with someone?

“Seek discomfort”. Meaning that by stepping outside of your comfort zone you can accomplish incredible things you would have otherwise chosen not to do.
